Engineering CapabilitiesA product is only as good as the quality of the information on which it is based. Our expert engineering staff provides creative and technical skills that ensure our products meet the most rigorous of standards. Highly proficient project engineers coordinate all aspects of engineering from system analysis, design, and testing, to technical interchange meetings, design reviews, scheduling, and budgeting. They fully support concurrent engineering in all of their activities by actively including other departments in their up-front design and technical decision process, ensuring a smooth transition to final production. Core engineering, drawing, and design services are performed using windows-based AutoCAD (Version 14), CATIA (version 5.10), Pro/Engineering (Version 20), SolidWorks 2001, and/or Unigraphics (Version 19) running on high-end PC NT workstations. AutoCAD, CATIA, Pro/Engineering, SolidWorks, and Unigraphics are state-of-the-art parametric-based solid-modeling CAD/CAM software programs. These programs allow parameter-based designing of complex configurations that are easily modified for future design changes. Other Program Engineering design and analysis modules are utilized to provide electrical cable and harness design, hydraulic line routing, manufacturing and CNC optimization, sheet metal design, and project data management. A shared database makes it possible to create a totally integrated environment. Multi-disciplinary design reviews at every step of the way include key personnel from design engineering, program management, procurement, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering. Design reviews are invaluable in producing products which are technically sound, and can be manufactured repeatedly and economically. |
